Download to excel in database view and using F9 now we upgraded to FE NXT

On Friday, we switched to FE NXT in the cloud. Today, when someone tries to download to excel from the database view, they get an error message that they need to see their administrator. Prior to the upgrade it worked fine. I can download to excel from the cloud base screen. Is their something behind the scenes we needs to fix. Also, in order to use our F9 files, do we have to move them to the hosting site on Blackbaud in order to be able to use F9 as we cannot seem to get it to talk to our network. It worked fine prior to the upgrade on Friday.

Hi Jill, For the export to Excel from database view, check your settings in Tools/Options/File Locations – that is where you set your default export location; it may be that it is still set to point to the old location. You should also be able to print to both the Blackbaud Files Folder, and your local drive by selecting the path at Export. There is an error message that pops up that is somewhat misleading – it is a warning that you are about to export out of FE, but it doesn't actually say that – try clicking on okay, and see if the export proceeds. (There is a thread about that error somewhere on this forum…)

Exporting reports to Excel is so much easier from NXT that I would highly recommend trying that out vs going with the more familiar database view. Like anything new it isn't as comfortable at first, but it will become more familiar as you use it Challenge yourself to only use the database view for functions that don't exist in NXT (yet).
