Difference between Giving Capacity ratings

What is the difference between the ResearchPoint model scores & ratings of Major Giving Capacity Value and another one similarly named Giving Capacity? They sync with RE as different ratings.

Is the sync for MGCV simply controlled by checking Major Giving Capacity in the RP integration? Is MGCV updated whenever you Get a WealthPoint Screening?

Chris, this is an excellent question! The ‘Giving Capacity’ field comes from the Grateful Patient Solution pre-screening and calculates 5% of identified public assets from that service based on one name and address provided in your Grateful Patient Solution pre-screening file. Public assets in this dollar figure are sometimes missed since we only use one name/address in the matching. Also some of the public assets are identified estimates vs. auto-confirmed data. The ‘Major Giving Capacity’ is calculated only on confirmed public assets from a WealthPoint prospect research screening. This is based on a comprehensive research WP screening that you do in ResearchPoint on top identified prospects from the Grateful Patient Solution (and modeling should you have this), where we use recursive matching and also can match on other data points you may have on a prospect in RP (such as additional residential addresses, business name/address, date of birth and phone number) and it is calculated from only confirmed public assets. It is more accurate and if you have both of these capacity values on a prospect in RP (as well as RE), defer to the ‘Major Giving Capacity' value vs. the ‘Giving Capacity’ value.
