Hello Everyone,

I am curious if others are currently using Allocation Management in database view? If so, how are you using it? Are you willing to provide an example of your set up? We would like to utilize this software for monthly distribution of a specific department to new set of accounts based off of overall organizational payroll dollars spent. I have spent over two weeks spinning my wheels on getting set up and would love some examples if anyone has them.

At this point, support has pointed me to training and training has pointed me to support. Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello Beckie, I'm in the same situation trying to understand how to implement the allocations module. There's a manual you can download called “Allocation Management.” It's for Database View, not NXT. I've only been studying on this since yesterday, and I haven't successfully replicated one of our allocations yet. I was thinking of getting some one-on-one training with BlackBaud. I saw somewhere that they offer this.

    I notice you post was from a few months ago. Have you made progress?

    Hi Madelyn,

    I ended up using a FE support consultant for help us set up allocation management. We ended up setting our allocation based off of a percentage instead of payroll accounts. So far, its worked really well for us!

    The first allocation was seemed pretty complicated but once I walked through that first allocation, the rest set up pretty smoothly. ?
