How do I make a developer account that can work with my school's backend

Hello,

I am a student at a school that uses Blackbaud for assignments, grades stuff like that. I want to make a mobile app that makes requests with the API and receives information for things like the schedule a user may have. I'm wondering as to how I should even start with the API. As it is right now I can't make a developer account with my school's email so who should I contact to fix that and what should I ask?

You should be able to create a personal developer account using the standard developer documentation.

You can then test your application by following the steps to request access to the SKY Developer Cohort environment for Education Management that contains test data.

Once your application has been developed and tested, the Organization Admin at your school will be able to connect your application to their Blackbaud environment to access their data.

If you would like to create a developer account associated with the Blackbaud Legal Entity of your school using their email domain to create applications on their behalf, you would need to work with the school Blackbaud Organization Admin to accomplish that.
