Retrieving GL Account Numbers from Raiser's Edge

Hello everyone,

I am working a process to gather the GL Account information for the gifts from Raiser's Edge NXT which will then be uploaded to the Finance system. I can see the data in Raiser's Edge via a Query using the “Fund Distribution Debit Account Number” and “Fund Distribution Credit Account Number” fields. In the API, I believe that information can be retrieved via the General Ledger end points, unfortunately, those end points are only functional if the institution has the Financial Edge NXT product. As far as I can tell, the institution does not have that product (or at least they don't know they have it).

Are the GL APIs the correct place to get this information?

Is there some other place that I should be looking?

If the Account information is in Raiser's Edge, does that mean they do have Financial Edge but my contact doesn't know about it?

I'd appreciate any help you can offer.

    Hi Jay,

    This looks like something we are already tracking in our idea forum. At this time we do not have the ability to retrieve that information from the RE NXT side.

    If you use Post-O-Matic you can actually export and import information from the GL Distributions tab of fund records in RE (DB).

    To solve the issue of not being able to see GL distributions in NXT I actually created a fund attribute called “Banner FOAP” where I list the credit side of the distribution. It helps.
