How to record and post cash receipt

We are just transitioning into FE. I have recorded a couple of receipts in NXT, but they don't appear to be working. The amount shows as projected and not the actual amount. Also, I am not able to post. What am I doing wrong?

    You have to post them through the General Ledger module, post sub ledgers. You have to set up posting parameters in the database view first though.
