EFT/ACH payments

So the way Financial Edge NXT does their ACH payments is to download the ach txt file and then upload it into your bank account. However, Bank of America doesn't have that option. What Banks are people using or recommend that has that option?

Looking at Bank of America's Site, this PDF from their site on their ACH options does say you can use an internatl system to make an ACH File and upload it. I'd double check with them , in case their system has changed but it seems it will allow it. Page 2 :

Hi Kevin! Thanks for finding this - we've (myself, Board member + accountant) spoken to multiple customer service departments, tech departments, and no one at BoA even knew what we were talking about. Merchant services told us they don't support nonprofits at this time. (but we dont need merchant services, we have BBMS)

I can't figure out where in BoA we can upload anything. Do you think it's a type of specific Bank Account we need?

Do you have ACH capabilities with your bank? That usually has to be set up differently. All the import file does is add the information in to the ACH template automatically rather than manually. Seems odd they do not know what you are talking about! We use a local bank and it works fine.

@Lara Woytowich No we don't and when I called to ask if we can add any ACH payment processes to our account, they said they don't support nonprofits at this time. I think we're going to go with AvidPay though, they look great and will solve a lot of issues
