Journal Entry Batch Creator

Hi There,

I am trying the JE Batch Creator for the first time and get this error:

89a50a68100930075bf7ec4cffba8f4d-huge-im

I am not using Internet explorer though; I am logged in using Edge. Wondering if there is some setting that I am missing?

Thanks

Samantha

What version of Microsoft are you using? We had that happen when we were still in 2016, We upgraded to 2021 and then recently moved to Microsoft office. It was explained that Microsoft did an update and older versions were no longer compatible with the add-in. Happened to many people here so you can search the community discussions to find more info on this.

Think you will need to call support then.

  • @Samantha Haller Same problem occurred a few months ago here. I ended up using the web version of excel which let me use this add-in for journal entries.

@Samantha Haller This has to do with the back end of the version of office you're using. Back in fall 2021 MS retired Internet Explorer and that caused this error. NOrmally means you need one of the most up to date versions of office, so it used MS Edge instead of Internet explorer. Here is a KB from MS that outlines which ones use which browsers on their back ends. Anything showing IE will not work with the plug ins :

I know this is an older post, but our IT came up with a solution. We were using Office 2021. We were getting that message in May of 2024. We do not have Office 365. Our IT found if you have WebView 2 installed on your machine it will work. Don't ask me why or how. I don't know, but that is the solution. BB customer service is completely useless in this. They'll just send you a link to an article and shrug their shoulders and say, “IDK LOL”, and that will be the end of it.
