Blackbaud forms AP checks- BBGNL Guardian Blank Checks

We just ordered another batch of a/p checks from Blackbaud. The same exact ones as last time. But since we started this new batch, I am hearing from vendors that they are not able to use mobile banking with these checks. Did something change with these checks or is it a system printing error?

@Cassandra Wood This is really strange. We will be ordering some cheque stock soon and this would be a problem if something is affecting mobile deposits.

I'm going to pay particular attention when we receive the new cheque stock.

Since we still issue cheques, especially since the pandemic, mobile deposits have gone way up. Fortunately, we have only encountered one duplicate deposit.

In the olden days, you needed to make sure you go MICR cheques, but I don't think that's an issue anymore as move institutions are just using optical scanning.

@Cassandra Wood I think they're having printing issues all around. We ordered some a few months back that were perforated incorrectly so that the middle tear-off was taller than the check portion which causes the MICR line to show in our window envelopes.

So that's been really fun to deal with.

Printing has been off with the batch of checks we ordered as well. We have had to make several adjustments to the printer settings to get the MICR line below the envelope window.
