Journal Entry Batch Post Date

Hello,
I'm working on an integration between FE and our other ERP system (Unit4). On a daily basis, I need to retrieve any new posted batches/transactions, filter them for specific criteria, and then trigger corresponding transactions in our other system.

I'm a bit perplexed as to why the ‘Batch post date’, which is in the header section of the batch details (not the ‘post_date’ on the transaction level), isn't a field in the API response.

I could use the ‘date_modified’ field, which would get updated when the batch is posted, but the problem is that if a user goes in afterwards and updates the description, it would change that date. And from what I can tell, there is no way to lock out the description fields, on the batch or transaction level.

Has anyone ran into a similar situation?

Alternatively, has anyone been successful in lobbying Blackbaud to update any of the APIs?
