Variance in Chart Organizer Results

Using the same report and parameters with 2 different chart organizers which are very close, the net asset account value as of a date is very different when using each chart organizer. The row is made of one account. Does the level in the chart vs what is in the report make a difference? Does the level in each chart for the one account need to be the same? Thank you.

Level doesn't matter, but you said the 2 different vco's are close. They need to be exactly the same otherwise that can result in differences in reports. If even a single account is missing and it has activity, that can result in a difference between 2 vco's using the same report. Same if one has a duplicate and another doesn't. Check out the KB on how to validate a VCO. It has a video. Always start there to make sure any vco you plan to use doesn't have missing accounts, and depending on the setup of it, that duplicates aren't causing an issue either ( there is more nuance there so a duplicate can be bad depending on the setup of the VCO).

  • @Kevin Brazell I am comparing one row that is different between. It has only one full account, the same account, in both chart organizers. Would other rows impact this particular row?

  • @Joseph Galvin If the one row is a Net Assets/Fund Balance Account, then it could be affected by net profit and loss. The Default Income Statement section should be used on Balance Sheet/Statement of Financial Position Report Chart Organizers.
