Paycor

We are using Paycor and have several issues that we have placed tickets for and have received absolutely no help from support. We are going on months now without any type of assistance and have repeatedly e-mailed and called customer service. We have also tried to push the issues to a person in a higher authority and get no response. Is there another option for Payroll that will work with FE NXT? We were with Primepay until they sold out. Our only option then was Paycor.

    Hello,

We are in the process of uploading our first months billing and payroll information in FE NXT. I do the billing side however, it's my understanding with our payroll company; Paycom, it's an easy upload process. I will forward your question to our HR person and she can confirm and/or be of more assistance.

    Best of luck,

    KIm

    Kim,

Any information you could provide us that would be great. Are biggest concern is being able to get a file to transfer into FE NXT if we switch companies. We went with Paycor because they integrate with FE NXT, but it is clear the company has some personnel issues and are unable to provide customer service/support.

    Thanks

    Beth

  • @Elizabeth Gravlin We use Paychex and have never had a problem.

  • Do you manually import the payroll data into FE NXT or have an import file from Paychex that easily uploads into FE NXT? @Lisa Olscamp

    Hi Elizabeth,

We are using Paycom. I pull my Excel GL report that Paycom has built for us, massage it a bit and then I use Office 365 which has an add on that will create an FE NXT template. I copy and paste my data from GL report and then validate and upload to FE NXT.

    Hope this helps.

  • @Elizabeth Gravlin – Omatic Software has a terrific Post-to-GL tool to automate importing external payroll data into Financial Edge NXT. Happy to talk further, but you can also learn more about Omatic in the Blackbaud Marketplace. Please let us know if we can help.

  • @Elizabeth Gravlin – following up on this follow-up post on your first post ? – Omatic's Post-to-GL tool can be used in conjunction with any payroll system (or, for that matter, any third-party transaction source that needs to get posted to FE NXT). So, if you switch payroll providers, you can take Omatic with you.

  • What software do you use for your payroll?

    @Stu Manewith

  • @Elizabeth Gravlin – I work at Omatic Software and we work with hundreds of organizations that use FE NXT. We are a Blackbaud technology partner, and our Post-to-GL toolset automates importing transactional data into FE NXT. Many thanks.

We also have Paycor (Started Jan 1, 22) and had W2 issues this year and have had abysmal customer service from Paycor. We wouldn't recommend them to anyone and will be switching away from them. That being said, I use the General Ledger report exported to excel to pull in our payroll. We have an excel worksheet with all employee info that uses VLOOKUP to get the correct project, account code, grant, etc. We have complex breakdowns for our salary so I don't know that any payroll system would directly export correctly. I don't know if that report (General Ledger) would help you or not.

  • Thank you. We don't have issues with the GL export from Paycor to FE NXT. We have a lot of 1 off questions that are not being answered as well as not having access to the HR area that we paid for. We would not recommend Paycor to anyone and are in the process of demoing some other companies in the very near future. @Dana Flanery

  • I am currently an Omatic user on the RE side. The issues we are having are not in regards to exporting or importing data from Paycor to FE. But I am interested in knowing what other companies are using for Payroll software that currently use FE NXT. @Stu Manewith

PayCor support is a strange thing. We've also had emails and calls ignored, but I've had decent success with their support chat feature.
