Mass Update of fixed asset distribution lines

Attempting to complete replace all debit and credit accounts for all active fixed assets. Several attempts to use the vague standardized import files and modifying them have created several error results. Is there a real source of problem solving guide to determine what exactly is needed to update these defaults? The import files are not working while using credit accounts. I am replacing every default account in the system. Thank you.

Depends on the exact error you're getting. If you have a business rule on that doesn't allow certain settings on the default / summary account, then you may need to turn that off. Also the basic templates are starting points, but depending on the exact thing you're importing/ updating, you can manipulate them and include just what you need provided a particular field is not required by that type of import. Most if it is based on your use case and will require some troubleshooting.

@Kevin BrazellTroubleshooting has been in progress and customer support has been contacted, however, some errors which appear do not clearly state the cause, and in several cases random test of changes are needed. More focused error messages would assist, as well as possibly additional example import files that apply to more complicated scenarios would help.
