Using EventID on Prospect Plan Steps

Prospect Plan Steps are stored in the INTERACTION table but don't use the EVENTID column which is available in the standard Interaction Add/Edit forms.

We can see a lot of uses for exposing EventID within Prospect Plan Steps and would be able to make this change. However we're hitting a check constraint that seems to imply this is something specifically blocked by Blackbaud rather than just something they ommitted from Prospect Plan Steps. (CK_INTERACTION_EVENTIDNOTPRESENTWHENSTEP)

Has anyone else done this, or does anyone have any insight on why BB would be against using EventID in Plan Steps?
