Demoing Blackbaud/Parent Portal to parents

Hi all,

As part of parent orientation we want to demonstrate to parents how to navigate the parent portal login and show them some features they can access on Blackbaud.

I ended up creating a Test Student / Test Parent account to do so, enrolling them in a Test Class. But this Test Student does come up on exports or data reports, which isn't a huge deal as I just make note to discount them--but wanted to ask, does anyone do something similar with demoing the parent portal to parents?

Thinking if there is another way, or if I could even have the test student not be an actual enrolled student but still be able to showcase or anything of that sort. Even outside of a demo, what do you do, if anything to get parents acclimated to Blackbaud?

@Nathan Ong Platform managers also have an impersonation feature that works in Education Management.

Some data is hidden during impersonations though, such as medical data.

But I think many schools create a test student/family instead, so they can ensure the sample data is clean and user privacy is respected.

We also have some resources available in the online help that you may want to use for parent communications.
