Need more data

So our college likes to keep track of student status (full time, half time, three quarter, less than half, and numerical categories) during advising time. However I don't see a way to actually build a report that I can at least export to build a real report counting these categories. I can pull them in a SKY list but that doesn't allow me to actually USE the data for academic office. Does anyone know of a decent work-around to get total credits enrolled without having to export all of the classes for all students?
