Using ACH payments for the 1st time -issues with the ACH file?

Hello all, has anyone else had this issue?

I am setting our org up to start making ACH payments, but when I download the prenote file from Financial Edge it will only open in the Notepad app, and my bank tells me it is not in the required .ach file format. Anyone else had this issue?

@Patrick Jamieson There are some settings you'll likely need to enable in the EFT General Section of the bank in Database view as they don't turn on by defautl. One is Include Carriage Returns. This stops the ACH from being a single continous line and shorter lines. That's the most common issue. This KB shows what fields are editable and where their settings are in the database view interface : Editable fields on EFT

Thank you!!! After weeks of back and forth with the bank and Blackbaud chat support, I've finally been able to get this prenote file imported thanks to your help. Now I've been given a Company ID error by my bank, but I think this problem is on their side since I have the correct FEIN in FE.
