Budgets

Is there any way we can be notified when someone is going over their budget? For example, when our AP person is entering an invoice and that item will cause the budget to be over? Like a notification of some kind, rather than having to look at the budget before processing invoices?

    IN the Payables business rules, in general section you can define the budget you want to use for Budget checking. Then beneath it on accounts, projects, etc, there is a setting on what to do when a transaction will go over budget in a period / year or both. I'd review these and make sure they are set to your liking. YOu can set these to warn anyone entering an invoice etc, that the account used will go over budget. YOu can also set a warning for any accounts that have no budget at all, so you can make the same decision.
