Creating an API Application

I am working with another vendor to connect and integrate FENXT with Chrome River via the SKY API. I have successfully completed this in our sandbox environment, but I am not seeing the same items in our Production environment of FE.

When I go to the Marketplace from our sandbox environment, I can connect an app. I created the Chrome River app a few weeks ago.

But, when I switch over to our Production environment I do not see any place where I can connect an app. There is no Manage menu item in the production environment.

Chrome River is the application where staff submit approved invoices for payment, and process monthly expense reports. Currently, the feed with FENXT is manual, the API will be automatic.

What needs to be done so that I can connect the app in our Production environment?

Thank you

David

Hi @David Waugh - it doesn't appear you are an environment admin in the production environment. Today, as explained in the documentation, only environment admins have access to connect applications to an environment. It appears you are an organization admin, so you should be able to make yourself an environment admin as well. Hope this helps!

  • Hi @Michael Tims

Thank you for this information! I was able to make my account an Environment Admin. Unfortunately, I am still unable to see where I can add the App from the information I received from our vendor. I noticed that the other environment admin has two other API applications configured.

    Thank you,

    David

@David Waugh - Not sure I'm following this… Do you mean the other environment has two additional applications that are connected? Each application would have their own application ID that would need to be supplied from the vendor that you would then use to connect the app to the environment.

It does look like you connected an application yesterday to the production environment. So in general it appears you are able to connect apps now.

  • @Michael Tims Yes, that is correct. Thank you!
