I am looking for a way to see all journal entries - posted or unposted - that are in the system that apply to the prior year and were added in a given day - like the day before. I want to be able to see what JE's the staff created for the prior year during the audit. i want to see it each day. I want also to see if anyone hit the prior year by mistake in their journal entry. I haven't found a way to set up a query letting me see that. Thoughts?

    1. Transaction Query.

    2. Some of the criteria would be Post date is between ( the last fiscal year dates)

    3. Go to Transaction Properties in criteria and set the Date Created isGreater than or equal to the first day of the new / current fiscal year.


    That should show you anything with a post date for that fiscal year, but that was added after the fiscal year ended. Then just go to the output and you can add what you want to see, like Created By would be the user, Batch number etc.

    Thanks for the reply. I am a new user to FE NXT and I appreciate the help. What is the base report for this? I assume you are referring to “Reporting" and build a report starting with “Transaction Journal”. Using that I can't get a Created date field to filter on. Likewise under “General Ledger” and “Journal Entry” I can't get filters for Batch post date and Batch create date to show up together. Problem I am having with FE NXT is the detail record shows a post date (which to me is the period date for the transaction). The header record for the batch also has “Date Posted” record. I want to find all JEs (posted or unposted) referencing a detail Post Date of 2023 yet have a “Date Posted” on the header record of the JE that is blank or after 12.31.23. The journal batch query page doesn't have these together that I can filter that way……thoughts?
