Excel Add In and Transaction Attributes

Hello,

With the database view going away, our team is trying out the Excel add in to import transactions. We ran into a snag when we tried to add the transaction attributes that we currently import in database view. Wondering if there is a solution to import the attributes through the Excel add in? For reference, for all of our disbursement transactions we have at least 3 transaction attributes and we really don't want to go back to manually entering them.

If anyone has a work around, we would love to hear about it.

Thank you!

@Christine Tielke We are rapidly working on import for webview and have started rolling it out for AP Invoices already. Check out the Product Update Briefing next week to see more!

  • @Nikki Baldwin Thank you! This is good to hear and I'm excited to learn more at the Product Briefing!

I would also be interested in knowing what others are doing. This has been a HUGE concern for us and I have brought it up to our customer service reps. We use attributes to import student majors, which is then pulled for our annual endowment reports. These are thousands of imports, so there is no way for us to do this manually. I'm very frustrated about items being taken away without being available on the web-based version. We are really concerned about how some of these things are going to make our processes much more manual and inefficient.

  • @Stacy Robinson We've just been waiting for the new import tools to roll out to NXT. The Excel Add-in was much too limited to replace our current imports for FE.
