Blackbaud Upgrades/Updates

We received a question from our Auditors regarding the last time Blackbaud has been Upgraded/Updated. Can you please provide that/those date(s)?

@John Fodor I assume that you are using NXT? If so, you can say that it is continuously update as it is SAAS and BB rolls out changes quite frequently.

If you are not using NXT and are self hosted, then you would need to check with your IT staff.

This sounds like an outdated question from the days when everyone was self hosted and needed to download and update the software themselves.

If you tell the auditors that it is a cloud based service, they will accept that for the update question. As you point out it is from a time when everyone had to take care of their updates in house. However, not every software and not every organization is cloud based. So the question isn't outdated yet. The auditors may have follow up questions about the security of the cloud based service, who can log in, etc.. I would also suggest you the OP look up how to request BB's SOC-1 report and bridge letter. The auditors will probably want that too and part of management's duties is to evaluate it every year.
