Issues exporting csv files

I have been trying to export our GL detail for our auditors. No problems generating the query but when I export it to csv, some of the account numbers are coming over as a date format. I've tried to format for general and it converts the account number to a number that corresponds to date in Excel speak. It's consistent with the same number of transactions. I've tried as a Transaction query as well as an Account query, same results. I created a new query thinking that the previous one is corrupt, same results. I can't export as Excel format because there are too many lines and Excel won't support. I can't send the auditors the file as formatted because that will cause them to have concerns with data integrity. Anyone else having the same issues? Any suggestions?

@Linda Jilek are you exporting from Query? I'd recommend that you export through Export, and then you can choose in which format you would like the final product to be.

I started to go down that route but I was having trouble adding date filters and needed to have journal entry lines with multiple distributions. I ultimately found something on Microsoft's website that allowed me to open the exported file using a legacy import wizard. A lot of work but less than trying to export.

I had a similar issue during implementation. It was a nightmare. If I recall correctly, the February dates were the most problematic. I didn't figure out a solution.

Hi, we had the same issue exporting JEs for our auditors. The issue seems to be it reads 01-1000 account number as 01/10/00 date. I couldn’t figure out a solution with formatting and just manually updates in batches. I wonder if I’ll have to add a third segment to our accounts just to fix this problem.
