Income Statement Formatting

Is there a way to totals by account code on my income statement? Example, i have multiple contribution account numbers that use the account code 4180. Instead of showing each account number balance on my income statement, i'd like to show the total balance for the account code 4180.

Hi Matt, You will want to use the chart organizer. This system lets you create levels of reports. The higher the level, the more detail you will receive.

There is and it's based on how you format the columns. A trick is you'll need to leave the account numbers column but hide it. Then add a column but set it for account code and also if you want the description, account code description. DOn't forget to remove or hide the account number descritpion column. Then you'll need to go to the sort section and first sort by account code. then there is an action button. Choose subtotal. Then you need to add more sort options under it for each remaining piece of your account string, such as Fund. Then set it's action to Mask. THen FE will take the account codes and combine them and total them. VCO will still control general organization but the report will do the rest of the combining / maksing, formatting.

  • Thank you @Kevin Brazell. Your solution worked, my income statement is now formatted correctly. Your suggestion for my balance sheet issue also worked.
