Expense Management

There is a field when entering invoice into expense management called “expense detail/purpose”. However, after the invoice is approved and into AP, this field cannot be found. Can anyone tell me what happens to this information? Sometimes it is really important!

    Dan is correct, currently that field stays on the request in expense management. If the information that is normally put there needs to be in payables, then I'd likely use a different field/ option. COuld add another attachment to the request that has a text document. If it's a short amount of informaion, you could set up a custom field for invoices/ invoice request. If put on the request, it will be on the invoice when approved.

    I understand all the ways to get around it BUT what I do not understand is WHY is there a field for the requestor to fill in (large field) and then it disappears in AP??? Why? If its a field to be filled in then it needs to be accessible in the future. Makes no sense to me.

  • @Gerda RobinsonWeb purchasing is the same way. We enter a lot of important information in the comments box in the requisition, and it has always frustrated me that we have to go back to the purchase req to see it again, versus the system pulling the text into a notes or comments field in FE. This would be so helpful. I really wish they would address this.
