Stop Date for Web Purchasing

Does anyone know when WebPurchasing through the Web Portal will be going away entirely?

I am having a hard time scheduling training for my staff. We transitioned over to FE from a different software system in July 2023 and have experienced many changes from database view to NXT, with more to come. I'd like to train my staff on purchase requests/orders in Web Purchasing but do not want to train them just to have to train them (and confused them) again in a few short months when things move to NXT. We were able to keep our legacy software system for POs for the last fiscal year but will be losing it June 30.

@Danielle Jain, Understand your concerns here. We do have the Purchase Request workflow (purchase request fka requisition) in development. The first phase of that will not quite replace your WebPurchasing functionality but instead focus on the use-case for a pre-approval of sorts in the invoice process. From our Product Update Briefing (PUB), we have the full workflow listed on our 6-12+ roadmap (next up) phase since WebPurchasing modernization is not dependent on end of database view. When we do get to that phase of moving that functionality to webview, we would ensure that all WP customers have direct communication with guided and precise instructions for adopting the webview functionality before we would remove the WP access. This includes utilizing most of the same configuration and setup items you already have established in WP for a smoother transition.

  • @Nikki Baldwin Thank you for your response. This gives me some information to work with. Question - we currently print our POs out of database view. Will we gain that functionality (Forms) in webview before July 30? Otherwise, we won't be able to print POs created in Web Purchasing.
