Best Practice for Contacts Affiliation Changes

Hope all are well.

Just wanted to ask the experts here if they have a best pactice in place to process changes to a Contact's affiliations. I would love to know how you approach that process overall. And more more specifically, when a Contact was with one organization, but has now moved to another organization, BUT still has active requests or requirements that they are the account owners on?

@Natalie Smith thank you for this. So it will not confuse the system if one contact is listed as primary for two organizations? Logically, that's what I thought we should do, but I was worried that in doing so there would be problems with auto-fills when the submit new applications and requirements. I will keep on an eye on them to make sure. Thank you again.

@Rifka Khalilieh Hi, it won't confuse the system as the contact record operates independently of the organization and request records. You may just have to be careful when you bring in the contact from an application or form to be sure not to override any info when you do your duplicate checks.
