Release of Blackbaud Report Scheduler in Financial Edge NXT!

I am excited to see this feature finally coming to NXT! I would love to be in the initial rollout and start using this asap!

We were sold on the Queue when we moved to FE in 2008 but were never able to get it to actually send emails on schedule. Despite repeated consultations between our IT and BB support, we could not resolve it. The solution was to build the Queue's and then one of my staff would manually send them, clicking OK on hundreds of Outlook pop-up so the emails would send. It was frustrating and time consuming but at least we had a semi-working solution.

Then even that stopped working and I have been trying (in vain) to train all my staff and volunteers who oversee budgets to log into NXT (with view only access) to run their own reports. It's been a nightmare and we end up having to run the reports they need, save as pdf, and email them. Now even more time consuming and most just don't bother asking so they aren't current on their budget areas. This causes budget overages and even more work for my team.

We were told years ago that this functionality would not be coming to NXT so this is huge for us. And now I can cancel my view only add-on and save some $$, helps offset a bit of the increase.

We are not enjoying the quick push to get everything moved over to NXT but I am glad it's finally happening. We were moved from FE to NXT in 2018 with a promise that everything would be moved to NXT within a couple years.

@Leonie Philip - That's great news! I'm trying to figure out how to find/use the report scheduler but I need some guidance. I found the help file Use the Report Scheduler (blackbaud.com) but I'm still stuck.

• Step 1 - Open a standard report. I'm not sure if this means to open the report in edit mode or to run the report but I've tried both:
• If I go into a saved report (edit), I don't see an option to ‘Select query and other options’ (step 2)
• If I run the report, I can't find that option either
• I cannot find a Report Format field in either of those locations (step 3)
• If I go to my Home page, I do not have ‘Open My Scheduled Items’ as an option

Help! What am I missing?

@Leonie Philip - thanks for the links, it has confirmed for me that we do not have access yet. When I click on the report menu … beside a saved report, I do not have Edit a Schedule and none of the other link instructions work either. I have supervisor credentials so access rights are not the issue.

I will follow up with support to find out when we will get access.

Sorry for the confusion. We are working on rolling it out to other countries so it should be coming soon in the next 6-8 weeks!!

So the initial email at the end of May 29, 2024 was in error? That the scheduler won't be released to the rest 2 weeks later?

No, the email was accurate. Report scheduler has been released and is being rolled out in waves, starting with USA. International locations to follow shortly.

@Leonie Philip - so it's been 4 months since your post that said 6-8 weeks for Scheduler to roll out to other countries and I still don't see it. Any update on when it's coming?

@Mohit Kumar Report scheduler is helpful, but the way queue used to work automatically to email reports was so much better. Is it possible that will be added to web view?
