Bank feed clearing checks but not removing checks from bank feed list

When using bank feed, the items come in from the bank fine, and the checks are marked in FENXT as cleared. So far so good. But, many items still show as “unmatched” in the Bank Feed list of transactions. I know I can select them and click Ignore to make them go away, but was wondering if this is a system glitch, or can be fixed somehow.
