Locking multiple g/l accounts at once

Our FE was implemented prior to my arrival and the general ledger system was set up for what was useful at that time. We no longer need the majority of the g/l accounts that are currently in FE. Outside of going into each account and locking it, is there a way to do a mass lock? I'm currently looking at locking about 600-700 unnecessary accounts and I think if I have to go in one by one, I'll have this done by maybe December. I appreciate any guidance I can receive. Thanks!!

You can always do an account import to update the statuses. This way you can make a list of the accounts, then have columns for their active / inactive and change the field value in the import file to Inactive. That way you can import it and it will update all the accounts in the file vs manually doing it.

Thank you for the info! I will try that. I'll let you know how it goes!
