HOW TO: Offer different field label in conditional formatting

Team,

This may be pushing conditional formatting too far but I thought I'd ask. We are attempting to use the same form for credit card and in-kind donation. The Project Title field needs a different label depending on donation type. Can I use conditional formatting for that? The condition would be

Show Project Title field (labeled "Description of In-kind donation") if payment method is in-kind).

Can I then pull into the application a second Project Title field giving it a different conditional formatting? The condition would be

Show Project Title field (labeled “Purpose of the donation?”) if the Payment Method is Credit Card.

Does this make sense?

    Hi @Kecia Haggins!

Unfortunately, Conditional Display Logic only allows you to show or hide fields within a form, not change any of the characteristics of a field. Additionally, you can only add a field to a form once, so you wouldn't be able to add the Project Title field a second time.

My recommendation would be to create a separate custom field - Perhaps change the label on Project Title to the In-Kind label, and create a custom field for the Credit Card label. You could then use conditional display logic to only display one of those fields based on whether in-kind or credit card was selected.
