Scheduling Reports

Is there a way to schedule a report to run as an Excel document?

Also, does anyone know if Blackbaud will be adding the ability to email scheduled reports to non-NXT users?

I had 47 emails of scheduled reports this morning that I then had to forward to each department head……so fustrating.

  • @Mary Kennett We utilize Power Bi to grab the reports from hosted files and created a distribution list.

do you mean RE queries? If so, then it there are a couple of ways to automate that process.

  • @Jennifer Benson Can you explain more about how you do this?

  • @Christi Menefee Financial EDGE NXT has a queue function in database. You will need to set this up and have your reports auto run. When they run you can have them go into hosted files which is in the “hamburger” in nxt top right in drop downs. I do have to move my files from hosted to my computer then into Microsoft Power BI only because I do not have the desktop version. Go into Microsoft Power Bi and create workflows. These workflows will grab the files and email then with a distribution list and any memo you set up.

  • @Jennifer Benson We are using the database queues and hoping queue comes to NXT soon. Would you be willing to share your Power Bi workflows? I have not created anything in Power Bi so I am still learning.
