Deactivating the URL link

Hello! We recently changes our program and are having intake periods for applications. I was wondering if anyone has deactivated a link and what happens when you do that? Is there a message on the portal for people trying to apply? Thanks!

Are you using the Cycles within the Program setup to define the dates? If a Program is outside of its cycle dates the following is what applicants could see if they are trying to acces the Program link:

Ok, you are still using the legacy applications, in that case, when you deactivate it prompts you to enter a custom message the applicants would see on screen if they try to access the link.
