New Portal Question: Number fields without comma

We have two number fields on our application meant to collect long stream of numbers without commas. We set one up in Blueprint as text, the other we set up in Blueprint as long number. Yet, when the grantee enters the number in the new portal form, the system is placing commas. While it doesn't really affect the number collection, it does look odd. I see where we can force phone number structure or tax id number structure. is there a way I can force a structure WITHOUT commas?

Using Text instead of the standard number field options (small number, medium number, large number, number with decimal) is the only was to format numbers without commas. Any of the 4 standard number fields will display commas.

It is common to use Text for data entry that uses numbers as characters, but are not truly numbers. For example, fields like Year Founded or Serial Number are common Text fields, even though the data entry may be completely made up of numbers.

The restriction to consider is; Text fields cannot be used for any system calculations, so you would lose that capability if it truly a number.

@Jason Kelliher (see image) while both of these fields are text fields, they are still forcing a comma as you can see. Is there a way around that? Is this possibly a glitch?
