EFT file type

When trying to process our EFT payments in FENXT today, the EFT file was created as .mdb file instead of a .txt file. We had to void the EFT payments and process them through the database. Has anyone else ever had this issue? Is there a place to specify the EFT file type in NXT?

@Kim Huffman I just ran into this problem. I cut my EFT and I received a Microsoft Access Database file instead of the ACH file.

@Kim Coleman if you right click on the downloaded database file you can choose to “open with” Notepad and then save it as a text file. Support told me there was no way to specify in NXT what file type to download. It's just strange that it's been downloading as a text file for years and all of a sudden changed to a database file.

We encountered the same issue today. After voiding/purging several attempts we contacted support and spent an hour on line demonstrating the issue. They then tried it processing payments in database view and got the same results - an MDB file. Support documented it and than escalated upward to the engineers. We on hold until we hear back. We need to ACH file as that is the format we upload into our bank portal.

The same thing happened to me today. I guess I'll be deleting and processing again. Maybe in the morning we will have better luck?

We had the same thing. I edited the file name to remove the .mdb and it worked. Annoying problem but easy fix.

Support resolved our issue and our EFT payment file are coming out of FE as “ACH files”
