Delete multiple account numbers

I am in the process of cleaning up our chart of accounts and I have dozen of accounts and hundreds of sub accounts that I need to delete since they are no longer in use. And there is not a quick way to select them and delete them. I have to go into each one and view them and delete and then confirm delete. This process will take days to finalize. There needs to be a quicker way to delete inactive accounts.

heads up first, since you said no longer in use, if an account / account segment was in use and has posted activity you cannot delete it as the history associated with it keeps it in use. Now you can make those inactive. You can use import to update an account's status to inactive. Just have to build the import file and can do as many as you need in one import.

@Tricia Joles, Kevin makes a good point about accounts with activity and how you can easily update those accounts to be inactive via an import (should they have activity). I would also suggest you vote on ‘Delete Multiple Accounts in NXT' on our IdeaBank. Just a quick search with that term and you'll see that topic to vote on (has 8 currently).
