@Stacie BulsonDunn you can print them but it's still through Aatrix. There shouldn't be a cost associated to print, just the eFiling/mailing services if you want.

not giving that option, i cannot get to the next window without credit card information. I was only able to print pdf record copy, do not file. Is this correct? so if we decide to do the efile, can we print the 1099 information that's needed to send to vendor?

@Stacie BulsonDunn, check out steps 4 and 5 in this Knowledgebase article that discusses the printing options. If you have over ten 1099s according to the IRS, you have to eFile, so that could be one of the reasons you're hitting that snag. But you have the options to do the complete eFiling which will include that printing and mailing of the recipient copies or you can select to eFile only the Federal and State 1099s and that will still lead you to step 5 wherein you can print.

I was just told that I have no option for me to send in the mail the payor ones. So which is it we can or can not? I'm on hold with Aatrix to talk to them and it's a 150 minutes wait with me #77 in line.

@Joey Kline, I was advised that if you do not want to do the Complete service and have Aatrix print and mail the recipient copies, you can mark all recipients as electronic delivery, then file by selecting the Complete service; you will have the reduced cost, then email helpme@aatrix.com with the AFID and ask for the PDF with all recipients copies. Then just skip sending out the e1099 access letters to vendors if you do not want to utilize the hosted electronic versions.

Hmmm. Not sure I want to rely on getting an e-mail from them withe the information.

  • @Nikki Baldwin I could not get recipient copies from Aatrix without paying $34.99 + a $4.99 processing fee to receive a pdf file. There was no pdf file to download like in the past. I purchased the complete package. It is pretty ridiculous after paying a per recipient fee, I had to pay more fees for the recipients copies in case their mailed copy gets lost.

@Dawn Asbury, did you try to email the inbox I provided earlier in this thread to ask them for the pdf with the AFID?
