1099 Error

Good morning,

Is anyone still having trouble getting through the Blackbaud 1099 module? I get the error while logging into Aartix. I can confirm I am able to login to Aartrix separate from the Blackbaud module. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I am getting little to no support from Blackbaud customer service of Management.

    I'm having issues too. When I select Generate, the Aatrix login screen appears but it's all blacked out. You can't enter anything. I'm also able to login directly to the Aatrix website.

    In another thread, someone else complained about the same thing, and the culprit was the Chrome browser. Try using Edge or Firefox and see if that fixes it.

    Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I have tried Edge and still no luck logging in.

    Try Firefox too then. So far Firefox has handled whatever NXT has thrown at it here. I'm actually about to Generate our 1099 files too - I'll let you know if Firefox also shows the same issues so many others are seeing.

    Tried Firefox and it worked! It's not a browser I typically use, but for whatever reason, it allows me to login to Aatrix. Our finance director was the only one who could login to Aatrix using Chrome - go figure! I am happy to report our 1099s have been filed. Thanks so much for the great advice!!!

    I was finally able to login to Aatrix using Firefox. We were able to process our 1099s. It's not a browser I ever use, but you might want to give it a try if you're still having issues. Hope it works for you too.

  • @Debbie Arthur I have now tried Firefox and Edge on top of Chrome. The same error every time.

    That is wonderful news! I've been using Firefox as my browser of choice forever - on Macs, Windows, and my phone. Now that Blackbaud's offerings are browser-based, they need to address browser choices and test everything on ALL browsers, not just the ones pushed by computer manufacturers, and then recommend which ones work the best. If that delays the move from the database, so be it, because the browser being used is now an integral part of the Blackbaud experience. </soapbox>

    1. In FENXT go to Payables > Settings >
    2. Select Organization info under Configuration and enter the Federal ID with out any dashes or with only one dash.
    3. Click Save.
    4. Launch Aaatrix cloud from Payables, Communictatons, 1099 Forms

  • @John FI had a similar issue and I think the problem was Chrome and I also had to make sure Blackbaud had my EIN numbers without any dashes in Payable -settings.

    I finally got everything uploaded yesterday, after grappling with the Aatrix software (nothing like last minute- gaaaah!), but had trouble submitting the MISC batch. I would hit Submit and the wheel would spin around for several minutes and then I would get this red error dialog box which said “AN UNEXPECTED ERROR HAS OCCURED”. Then I had to start the whole process again, even though I had PAID for it already and had no errors. Right now I am on hold with Aatrix - the expected hold time was 82 minutes, now down to 60 min. This has been a nightmare.

    Just an update: After 2.5 hours on hold (seriously!), I finally got someone at Aatrix to confirm that my submissions had gone through. He also told me to ignore the errors I saw because they did receive everything I sent.

    I do hope Blackbaud is working on a connection which will allow Aatrix to confirm directly through Blackbaud if a 1099 submission was received correctly or not. I saw in some other threads that others have had a similar experience to mine - being on hold with Aatrix for more than an hour because a generic error msg popped up or the whole thing stalled, and there was no way to tell what happened.

    We, Blackbaud's clients, should have been permitted to use the Database to file 1099s one more time, while the new Aatrix software was being tested. Instead, what used to take me a couple of days, took almost 3 weeks.
