Misleading filters in Dashboards lead to incorrect data!

"After putting in a case that took a month to resolve regarding a dashboard builder issue, I was told that the functionality I need doesn't exist. In builder, you are able to filter expenses by project ID but the amounts returned in dashboard are not accurate. When you filter, you're shown a list of all of your project IDs- including a box that say it pulls "Empty Values". Most of our expenses don't have a project code and would fall into the "Empty Value" project ID. When you pull just that code in the dashboard, the data doesn't show up. You cannot filter by Project ID- by either selecting just one ID or choose to exclude just one ID. We would like to replicate a monthly expense report we send to departments in Dashboard so that we can send a link so each department who can then better manage their expense budgets in real time. When we filtered the dashboard to remove one project ID code from the expenses- we were left with blanks in almost all of our expense codes, which doesn't match the report we are replicating. We'd like to be able to filter the data in dashboard by Project ID but if that's not possible at this time, we'd like for the ability to filter expenses based on Project ID to be removed from dashboard builder. Once the data can be filtered by project ID, we'd love to see the filter return, as it's a really helpful way to be able to cut the data. At the moment it's misleading to have a filter present in builder that does NOT work."
