Change in how entering debit/credit amounts work

Until last week, I could move through my debit/credit columns by just entering twice and going to the next box in the column making it easy to just move through the amounts. Now, I have to click to get to the next box making it much more cumbersome to enter amounts when I have batches to copy and don't need to change the account numbers. Has anyone else had this change or found a work around to it?

    Sorry to hear you're having problems. Have you tried using the Tab key to change fields?

  • @Christopher Hafer Then, I have to go through the whole table to get back to the debit/credit box I want to be in. It's just frustrating that there seems to be change that makes it harder to do what I was doing before.

    Understood. I wish I had the solution for you. This is typical of companies making software changes we didn't ask for to fix something that wasn't broken, yet it actively makes things worse.

    I agree, this functionality has recently changed. Hitting enter twice would drop you down one row to enter the next DR or CR dollar amount. Now it just stays on the same cell and does not move.

  • @Chris Semmler Thanks for confirming that I'm not crazy in my memory of how things worked. I talked to the help center about it and they just said it was working as intended. I told them that was disappointing as it worked better the old way.

  • @Christopher Hafer I have everything pre-filled so only need to put in amounts. No need to tab through everything as before it was click,click. Or were you trying to be funny?
