Copying application page template from different application

When you use a page template from a different application, the display conditions do not copy over. Using a page template from a different application should copy everything about that page and its fields, including any conditions attached to the field.

Conditions do not carry over since there is the possibility that conditions may be based on fields from more than one page. Since you are only copying one page conditions are stripped under the assumption that not everything needed to meet them will be there.
