While entering a JE in General Ledger system locks up

It seems EVERY time I'm entering a large JE (I copy the prev month and make changes) the system locks up on me - especially when trying to delete a line. It doesn't like to delete and sometimes when you think it did it ends up still being there. Right now it won't save the entry (since it's locked up) and says I need to add a journal reference and/or it doesn't balance. BUT, yet it won't let me enter anything since it's locked up! I know it's “out of balance!” I know I need a "Journal Reference" - then let me!! The only thing I can do at this point is to cancel. Then I will probably lose everything I just entered.

Of course the offices are closed today. I hate that I can't insert a line! This is beyond frustrating!!!!?

    Hi Lisa,

I have a similar problem. When I copy a batch, there are some cells the interface won't let me click into. I need database view to correct it. I have an open ticket, it has been for quite some time. I've sent screen videos and .har files. They just brilliantly sent me a workaround - correct the batch in database view. I also have some of the issues you describe - lines that I entered disappearing for one.

I've stated multiple times to them that they can't turn off database view until this is fixed. Who knows if they're listening. They announced they're pushing back turning off database view until March - to give customers more time to adapt to the changes. Riiiiight.

I didn't think we could still enter JE in the database. How can you view it? It took me 3 hrs to finally get that journal entry in yesterday! Unacceptable!?

I never thought of that. I do have to use that for my payroll import. It took a while to get that to work but I finally got that. I will try that next month. Anything has to be better than what I've been going thru. Thanks! ?

It says a lot about the product when we users are here helping each other to find workarounds and solutions to huge gaps in their product's capabilities.

But it sure looks nice when you want to work from your phone.

I didn't know we could do this! I have been having issues inserting a line item where I need it, it always drops it to the bottom of the page. I am going to try this next time. Thank you

Can you tell me what screen you are on or how you found the create journal entry. It sounds like something useful but I don't know where to find it?

    thanks
