Major Gift Capacity Ranges - Expanding the Ranges Available

Has anybody expanded the major gift capacity ranges available by inserting new records into [MAJORGIVINGCAPACITY] or through another means?

I am referring to the dropdown of ranges available for the ‘Major giving capacity’ field when editing giving capacity on the Wealth Summary tab of the Wealth and Ratings page.

@Carrie Davis Hi! No responses as of yet. We are testing out inserting the new values and regression testing the functionality in over the next month. We are building in a backout method also should a future service pack expand this area.

@Dan Napolitano - I emailed our Blackbaud contact yesterday, and this is what I got back:

Those values are calculated based on the wealth capacity formula of confirmed assets. The values don’t come directly from the wealth screening, but rather the screening returns the asset data that drives the capacity values based on the formula. The table of values is not configurable and I believe it references the Target gift range table.

It is possible to import new values for the ranges, but they need to align with the values as defined by Target Analytics. Basically, this feature is to update the table if/when Target Analytics changes the ranges that are returned by the screening process.

It is possible to overwrite these table values from the back end, but only if you don’t intend to use the Target Analytics screening data (i.e. ratings).
