Happy Wednesday, Blackbaud Community,

I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with the Community. Blackbaud has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Most Responsible companies! We rank in the top 25 in the software and telecommunications industry.  Blackbaud’s commitment to social responsibility and our environmental, social and governance (ESG) program is one of the main reasons I love working here. Not only do we strive to power an ecosystem of good, but we are an active part of that ecosystem ourselves. If you want to read more about this distinction, click here.

GET TO KNOW A NINJA

Each week, we aim to bring you a little closer to one of our Blackbaud Community super users (AKA Ninjas).

This week, we’d like to introduce Bobby Steurer; foundation systems controller at the Norton Children’s Hospital Foundation.

What area are you in (geographically) and why do you love it?

I’m in Louisville, KY. I like the experience of a medium-sized city with a small-town feel.

What do you enjoy about the Blackbaud Community?

Blackbaud has been around for a while. So, if you have a question, someone in the Community likely has a personalized answer with a deep backstory as to how they arrived at that solution.

What is something that you never thought you’d enjoy at your current job that gets you up and motivates you now?

I’ve been dipping into prospect research over the past couple of years, which is something that was never on my radar before. When I’m working on that research, it feels like I’m piecing together each individual’s story. It’s cool to see how they fit into the overall mission of what we do at Norton.
