What's New(er): Recognition In Giving With Soft Credits And Pledges

While Raiser's Edge NXT released enhancements earlier this week, it updated again today with the inclusion of soft credits and commitments in the Giving totals and filters on constituent records and lists.

 
Years giving, Years consecutive. Under Giving on a constituent's record, their frequency of annual giving — tracked as years giving and years consecutive — now includes both gifts and soft credits of:

• Donations, gifts of stock/property, gifts-in-kind, and gifts of Other
• Pledges and matching gifts
• Payments toward pledges, recurring gifts, matching gifts, and other commitments

Soft credits. The soft credits estimate now includes soft credits of:

• Donations, gifts of stock/property, gifts-in-kind, and gifts of Other
• Pledges and matching gifts
• Payments toward pledges, recurring gifts, matching gifts, and other commitments

Lifetime giving. The lifetime giving estimate now includes:

• Donations, gifts of stock/property, gifts-in-kind, and gifts of Other
• Payments toward pledges, recurring gifts, matching gifts, and other commitments
• The outstanding balance on the constituent's pledges
• Soft credits included in the soft credits estimate

First, Latest, Greatest. The first, latest, and greatest gifts — as requested in the Idea Bank! — now consider the same gifts and soft credits as the years giving and years consecutive totals. Similarly, the First gift, Latest gift, Greatest gift, and Any gift options for Giving filters in constituent lists now also include soft credits and commitments in addition to cash-in-hand giving.


With the inclusion of soft credits and commitments in the Giving totals and filters, you can now track the true value and affinity of constituents based on their overall commitment and giving through foundations, donor-advised funds, and other relationships.
