This week Raiser's Edge NXT introduces a change for those with online registration forms. 

Create named guest records (for those with Online registration forms). In response to customer feedback, the online registration form in Events now only adds a constituent record for a guest when their contact information matches an existing constituent. Otherwise, the form creates a named guest record. Previously, the form added constituent records whenever a named guest’s information didn’t match existing constituents, or when it matched multiple constituents.

To prevent duplicate constituent and guest records, configure your registration form to check for existing constituents. From Events, under Online registration forms, edit an existing form or create a new one. Under Form, Form designer from Registrant details, drag either Email or Phone to the form.
