What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT The Week of February 16

This week, Raiser's Edge NXT introduces changes in Events.Open event records with fewer clicks. To reduce the number of clicks it takes to manage event details, now when you select an event name from Events, the page view of the event record opens. Previously, a flyout opened with an elongated view of the record. Although you could edit certain details from the flyout, you needed to select Open record to fully manage the event.

Tip: If you previously used the flyout to quickly view RSVP statuses, we recommend you now include the Attending, Attended, and Invited columns in the event list to quickly open the same pre-filtered lists of participants.

Download events to calendars (for those with online registration forms). Registrants can now download events to their personal calendars after they complete online registration forms. To download an event’s information, including the name, dates, and times, a registrant selects Google Calendar, Outlook, or iCalendar from their on-screen or email confirmation. Then they open the app they selected and save the iCalendar (.ics) file to the calendar.

Note: This change is automatically available for new and existing online registration forms.

  • Nice improvement...thanks for the update.
  • Am I able to edit the calendar invite to add a zoom link or other event information in the body of the calendar appointment?

@Rebekah Kornblum The body of the calendar invite will include the Event's Description from the Event Record. This field is a text only field, but you can put the hyperlink to your Zoom meeting there so that the URL shows up in the calendar invite. You'll want to wait a few minutes before testing for the change to make its way to the registration form. Give that a try and see if it helps!
