Introducing New Microsoft Power Platform Connectors for Raiser's Edge NXT

We released several new Power Platform connectors for Raiser's Edge NXT. These connectors represent a refactoring of the original monolithic Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT connector and will allow us to be more efficient and agile when releasing updates.

To preserve compatibility and avoid breaking any existing flows or apps, we won't remove the existing connector. It will continue to function as it has, with its existing set of actions and capabilities. You can continue using the original connector if it meets your needs - there is no requirement to rebuild or update existing flows or apps to use the new refactored connectors.

Going forward, we'll continue enhancing the refactored connectors, adding new capabilities based on customer feedback as well as new functionality available within our APIs. You can choose to leverage the new connectors as needed. Since we'll support both original and new connectors, you can also co-mingle connectors within flows or apps with no problems, and opt-in to using the refactored connectors over time.

The new connectors are:

The refactored connectors contain all of the functionality from the original Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT connector, along with the following enhancements:

In the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Constituents connector:

  • New action: List constituent memberships
  • New action: Convert non-constituent to constituent
  • New action: Get constituent name format summary
  • New action: Create a constituent primary name format
  • New action: Update a constituent primary name format
  • New action: Create a constituent name format
  • New action: Update a constituent name format

In the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Gifts connector:

  • Added a Sorted by parameter option to the ListGifts connector action

In the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Events connector:

  • Added Lookup ID parameter to the ListEvents connector action.
  • Added participant summary note field to the ListEventParticipants, CreateParticipant, EditParticipant, and GetParticipant connector actions

In the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Fundraising connector:

  • New action: List constituent appeals
  • Updated the hint text for the start/end dates on the FundraiserAssignmentAdd entity to include a sample date

In the Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Interactions connector:

  • Reordered the properties shown when adding/editing constituent actions to be more intuitive and to produce a better user experience

Finally, the Blackbaud SKY Add-ins connector can be used to validate user identity tokens (for all Blackbaud solutions that support add-ins) as described in the Invoke a flow tutorial.
