What's New In Raiser's Edge NXT® — February 14th

This week, Raiser's Edge NXT announces that the online portal is now generally available. Also, Patch 31 begins releasing in database view.Help constituents stay connected with the new online portal! (now generally available)

You can now use Raiser’s Edge NXT to customise and manage an online portal to help constituents stay connected with your organisation.

With the portal, constituents can:

  • Give one-time or scheduled gifts using a debit or credit card, or bank account draft.

  • Manage recurring gifts such as to change payment amounts, or to skip, hold, or end payments.

  • Save payment methods — or use ApplePay or Click to Pay — to avoid entering their payment information each time they give.

  • View their lifetime history of giving, including cash or checks given offline.

  • Email giving statements to themselves for the last calendar year or the year-to-date.

  • Update their name and contact information to keep your organisation’s records up-to-date.

Before constituents can use the portal, an admin must configure settings in Raiser’s Edge NXT, such as giving options, custom branding, and support contact information. After you roll out the portal to your supporters, admins can manage user account access and troubleshoot sign-up issues. They can also manage updates to name and contact information submitted by users.

For more information about how to set up the portal and app and roll them out to your supporters, see Get Started With the Portal.

Patch 31

Patch 31 begins releasing this week, and includes behind the scenes performance and Queue stability improvements and bug fixes. It also introduces new consent categories to enhance consent options for users and their constituents. For more information, see this Knowledgebase article.

@Kimberly Coughlin After reading the KB article about the Patch 31 changes, would it be correct that basically all of the ratings from ResearchPoint will have the source of “Information Sources”, as opposed to Blackbaud Analytics - WP and the new Ratings would be in the category field below? If so, I would encourage the option to filter ratings exports in database view by Rating/Category, like this idea or this one or even this one. Maybe the ideas can be combined and I know you are moving us to NXT for this but until then it would be nice to have a solution that didn't require a vlookup and other data manipulation in Excel to get the specific ratings we want.

    Hi Dan,

The KB article has been updated as it was written a little incorrectly. We are creating table entries in Patch 31 in preparation for an overall Rating Source and Rating Category update. We are enabling the ability for the integration between RE and RP to eliminate using the single source of “Blackbaud Analytics - WP” and use more specific sources. In your example Source “Blackbaud Analytics - WP”, Category “Annual Giving Likelihood - WP” with a text value will be changing to Source “Blackbaud - AGL”, Category “Annual Giving Likelihood”, with a numeric value.

We will not only be solving those export ideas you pointed to, but by enabling numbers to come through integration as numbers, currency as currency, etc. there will be vast improvements on the ability to query, sort, and filter on ratings as well.

Much more communication will be coming out in the coming weeks as the Raiser's Edge NXT and ResearchPoint product teams work together to complete the roll out of these features and explain how customers will be able to begin taking advantage of them.
