In the hands-on preconference Developer Workshops at bbcon, you'll get personal coaching as you build apps to automate key nonprofit business processes. You’ll also develop skills you can use to create automation projects beyond covered in the workshop.

Foundations: Building Low-code Apps and Automations



Intended for aspiring low-coders with zero familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform, this workshop will teach you to:

• Create a Power App to gather common donor service requests from your Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT® users, such as biographical, contact information, deceased notification updates
• Connect your Power App to your Raiser’s Edge NXT data
• Create a Power Automate workflow for processing the donor service requests including Approvals and an Action audit trail
• Deploy your app to Raiser’s Edge NXT so users can interact with it directly on a constituent record

Next Level: Power Up Your Automations with Artificial Intelligence



Intended for those with some basic familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform who are interested in building a business case for AI at their organization, this workshop will help you build the following applications (and maybe more!):

• Register a donor for an upcoming event using a donor service chat bot
• Scan a pledge card and automatically create a gift in Raiser’s Edge NXT
• Scan incoming emails from donors and categorize them for follow-up based on sentiment analysis

Plus, you'll meet your peers, network, and get great ideas for more automation and customization projects you can bring back to your own organization.
